Two men from South Trinidad lost their lives in separate early morning car crashes on Sunday…

Both accidents occurred in San Fernando

In the first incident, Mark Frost, a labour relations officer with the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union OWTU, died on the spot after being stabbed by a steel railing his car crashed into along the San Fernando Bypass.

Frost was on his way to his #8 Malibu Crescent, Harmony Hall, Gasparillo home around 4 a.m. Sunday when he fell asleep at the wheel of his B15 motor car.

In the second crash, Stephen Kingsdale of 159 Seaview Parkway, Gulf View, La Romaine died after the car he was driving crashed near the King’s Wharf, San Fernando.

The 82-year-old man died while being treated at the San Fernando General Hospital.

His wife, Yvonne Kingsdale, was also rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery.

She remains warded there in serious condition.

According to the police Christopher Vialva of Upper High Street, Siparia, was driving south along Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando in the vicinity of the Roodal Cemetery, when he collided with a silver wagon driven by Kingsdale.
