Two School Officials Charged With Falsifying CXC Qualifications for Students.

The Principal of the Fyzabad Secondary School and a PE teacher at the institution were expected to appear before a San Fernando Court today, accused of falsifying the CXC qualifications of students to facilitate their participation in the Secondary Schools Football League Premier Division.

According to LoopTT Troy Jebodhsingh and Nigel Lakhan are accused of falsifying CXC qualifications to enable entry into the school’s 6th form.

Charges were laid against the two following advice received from the Director of Public Prosecution on Wednesday night, subsequent to investigations led by Head of the Fraud Squad Totaram Dookhie.

50- year- old Jebodhsingh faces six charges including four counts of misbehaviour in public office and two counts of uttering forged CXC certificates.

41- year- old Lakhan also faces six charges; two for uttering to the School’s Supervisor forged certificates; two for uttering forged application forms to the SSFL and two counts of forgery.
