Despite the establishment of an election’s committee, United National Congress founder, Basdeo Panday, remains unimpressed.
Mr Panday has raised concerns about the possibility of the poll being tainted on December 5th.
The former Prime Minister says that there are people contesting the poll, who have strong influence at the executive level. He said this in itself, can have a tremendous impact on the process.
Speaking in a News Power Now interview this afternoon, Mr. Panday said that for the elections to be free of corruption, the committee overseeing it must truly be independent.
