Unions expect big turnout for Labour Day celebrations

OZZY WARWICKThe Joint Trade Union Movement expects this year’s labour day celebration to be one of the largest in recent times.

It may also be the first time in over two years that the Public Services Association (PSA) officially takes part.

Chief Education & Research Officer of the Oilfields Workers Trade Union, Ozzi Warwick said the PSA and other trade unions were invited following the success of the May 23 anti-government march.

The unions have accused the Government of having an anti-labour agenda and say government’s lack of legislative change is a reflection of their policies.
