It’s an assessment coming from Rishi Maharaj while speaking on Power 102.1fm this afternoon.
Mr Maharaj describes the recent UNC internal election campaigning as a heated one.
However, he suggests that the UNC must be able to regain its focus quickly especially amid upcoming local government elections.

One of the persons who contested the chairmanship position in the recent UNC internal elections is sticking to his position that there was no conflict but democracy at work.
The stance is coming from former Education Minister who contested on the Loyalist slate led which was led by Dr Roodal Moonial.

Dr Bhow Tewarie is remaining optimistic that the UNC can regain the previous momentum it had in the political arena.
However, speaking on Power 102.1fm this afternoon the former government minister made it clear that this cannot be archived with a display of maturity for both supporters and leadership.
The former St Augustine University of the West Indies Campus principal said it’s critical the UNC put its business in order first at the party level and then concentrate on the wider picture of national affairs.
