WASA TO FIX LEAKS AS FAST AS DISCONNECT

Citizens are being assured that the Water and Sewage Authority will adopt an aggressive style in repairing leaks across the country.

On Wednesday the state owned utility launched its Name and Shame Disconnection Exercise to collect millions of dollars in arrears from delinquent customers and entities.

WASA’s General Manager, Corporate Communications, Ellen Lewis in a News Power Authority interview said the public can expect the same level of urgency shown in the disconnection programme towards fixing leaks.

    Good day

I would like to inform you that there is a broken underground pipeline that has been leaking for the past two months.

After making numerous calls, and speaking with your operators, including Sherry-ann, Sharon & Melissa, no one has contacted us to assess the situation. As each day passes, the water that has been constantly running out, causing more and more damage to the road, and we don’t know how bad our underground structure of our 3 storey building has been affected in addition, thousands of gallons is being lost daily.
