WASA warns lack of rainfall having a significant impact on surface water sources.

The Water and Sewerage Authority has advised customers in Trinidad and Tobago that despite the announcement by the Meteorological Service of the official start of the Wet Season on 28th May 2015, there has been a lack of any meaningful rainfall consistent with the season.

This has negatively impacted water production at several water treatment facilities in both islands.

This situation is having a significant impact on surface water sources throughout Trinidad and Tobago following the recent harsh Dry Season.

Corporate Communications Specialist at WASA Daniel Plenty acknowledged that there has been an issue because of the sporadic rainfall this wet season.
