West Indies target 470 deficit in pink-ball Test against England

Second day of the fifth ever day-night pink-ball match in Test cricket history closed with West Indies on 44 for the loss of opener Kraigg Braithwaite for no score in reply to England’s 514 for 8 declared.

Kieron Powell 18 and Kyle Hope 25 start the third day’s play with West Indies aiming to get at the 470 arrears.

England lost five more wickets today before declaring their first innings at 514 for 8 with Alastair Cook making a double century and West Indies offspinner Roston Chase taking four wickets for 113 runs.

In the Caribbean a roll of four Caribbean Premier League T20 matches featuring seasoned West Indies players is on schedule – Chris Gayle-led St Kitts-Nevis Patriots versus Kieron Pollard-captained Barbados Tridents in St Kitts tonight, Reyad Emrit-captained Guyana Amazon Warriors against Dwayne Bravo skippering the Trinbago Knight Riders from noon in Guyana tomorrow and from 9 pm in St Lucia the Patriots versus the St Lucia Stars and from 6 pm on Sunday in Guyana, the Warriors against the Tridents.
