The woman went to the Cunupia police station this morning where she told officers that the man routinely threatens to kill her.
She said he threatened her with the gun yesterday evening, but went to sleep instead, so she took the weapon to the police station.
Separately, Central Division Police have asked medical institutions to be on the lookout for a man seeking attention for stab wounds.
According to reports, the request was made after a robbery went wrong and instead of walking away with any items from members of a family at Robinson Street, Montrose around 3 o’clock this morning, one of the would-be bandits, was stabbed several times.
Officers said the vandal’s firearm was also seized and both the perpetrator and his accomplice escaped on foot.
Investigations are continuing.
