Regional leaders agreed to a ten point plan of action to prevent the deadly Ebola virus from arriving on its shores.
The Caribbean Community (Caricom) heads met in Trinidad and Tobago yesterday, where they also discussed the Chikungunya virus that has infected people on every inhabited island in the region.
Chairman of the Conference of Caricom, Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne explained what the plan will include following the gathering at the Diplomatic Center, St Ann’s.
Cuba is expected to be brought into the regional preventative measures.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said this has the support of T&T.
