In an effort for citizens uphold the law, police officers across the country are now warning citizens not to use speed gun jammers to avoid being ticketed if caught speeding.
Supt, Mathura Singh of the Highway and Traffic and Patrol said the punishment for any driver caught using an electronic device to jam the radar signals from speed detection guns will be given a ticket in the amount of $10,000.
Supt. Singh said such action is illegal and will cost you ten times the amount of an ordinary ticket which is in the amount of $1,000.
Some of the devices which can be bought online for a low as US$30 can alert drivers from 1,000 yards away about speed gun radars.
Drivers can then slow down and when out of the range of the officers, continue at excessive speeds.
