Mr. Birju appeared before Chief Magistrate Marcia Ayers-Caesar in the Port-of-Spain Magistrate’s Eighth Court to answer charges that he obtained money by false pretenses, and uttered a false document, as part of his curriculum vitae to obtain a position at the AATT.
Mr. Birju allegedly stated he graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, in the United States with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. However it was revealed he attended the University, but did not graduate.
Mr. Birju was ordered to surrender his passport and he must report to the San Fernando Police Station twice a week.
The case was transferred to the Arima Magistrates’ Court and adjourned to May 28.
