Attorney general Anand Ramlogan is questioning why the justice system is not running efficiently.
At the Dana Saroop Seetahal Symposium yesterday, the AG, noted that a steady increase of funds are allocated to the Judiciary with each National Budget.
He also raised the idea of plea bargaining to decrease the number of cases that go to trial.
However, Director of Public Publications Roger Gaspard indicated that the country is not ready for such a move.
