Southern Division police yesterday found several stolen items that were being stored at the homes of two men, believed to be the vandals who committed various robberies in the division.
The two men, ages 28 and 23 years old of Manahambre, Princes Town and Ragbirsingh Avenue, Princes Town, respectively, were both arrested after police searched their premises yesterday.
The bust came on the heels of a report filed by Customs’ clerk, Fayida Ojeer whose home was vandalized yesterday morning. The woman said she had left her Marcano Street, Princes Town home at around 8am and returned around 1:20pm to find the house broken into and several electronic items valued at an estimated, $14,000, missing.
Princes Town Police officers, Corporals Ramroop and Ramdial along with PC Mungal had gone in search of the two suspects, in connection with several previously committed break ins. Upon raiding the suspects’ homes, Ojeer’s electronic items were found among the other stolen items.
