Attorney General Anand Ramlogan has denied claims that he is trying to distract from Tuesday’s Senate debate by disclosing verification from GOOGLE on controversial emails.
The AG claimed the information was released because it was important to the national interest.
Mr. Ramlogan revealed yesterday that his attorneys had received a certified affidavit from Google Inc. verifying that the emails were false.
He said if anyone was politicizing the matter it was the opposition.
The AG added that the information has been passed on to the Integrity Commission and the Police.
Mr Ramlogan said that those responsible should be brought to justice.
