The Highway Re-Route Movement (HRM) presented what they said could save the state millions and end their dispute over the Debe to Mon Desir section of the Golconda to Point Fortin Highway.
HRM said a series upgrades to connector roads is the option to the controversial section of the highway.
Pro-highway supporters turned up and called on Movement for Social Justice Leader David Abdulallah to leave the area since he is not from there and doesn’t know how the highway will benefit generations to come.
Mr. Abdullah said the HRM’s proposal is a win-win for everyone.
