Twenty-six year old Justin Geetam may never have expected that his death would come while getting something to eat on Sunday morning. The young man was shot and subsequently died at hospital, in one of the weekend’s tragic murders.
Police reports state that Geetam, a resident of Boodoo St El Dorado, had been standing at Sammy’s Gyro on the Southern Main Road in Curepe when he was shot by a man. The incident occurred at around 6:45am. He was rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he later passed away.
A 43-year-old man was also killed on the weekend. The victim has been identified as Richard Sundar. Reports state that he was at Rickite Bar near Coquette Junction in St. Madeline when he was struck on the head and beaten to death by a man described by the police as mentally unstable. The suspect, Christopher Evelyn is now in police custody.
Separately, a woman, who is yet to be identified, was found near the Tapana Valencia quarry around 7am on Sunday. The female victim is described as being in her mid 30’s, of African decent and 5 feet 4 inches in height. Her body bears two tattoos on the shoulder, one with a marijuana leaf and the other, the word ‘Blunt’.
