The National Ebola Prevention, Information and Response Team (NEPIRT) announced steady and significant progress has been made in its efforts to protect Trinidad and Tobago from the Ebola Virus.
The team said a three-pillared national integrated strategy was developed to prevent importation of the deadly virus to this country.
It will also collaborate to ensure the recovery of infected individuals.
Information on the virus can be accessed via the Office of Disaster Preparedness Management (ODPM) 24 hour hotlines and two social media profiles.
NEPIRT said it completed a Baseline Site Readiness Surveys and its results led to the development of detailed operational manuals at the Piarco International Airport.
It also led to the first simulation exercise to engage and train representatives from frontline agencies at ANR Robinson International Airport.
