Deputy THA Chief Secretary at the Tobago House of Assembly Joel Jack says a total of 29 persons have already received 41 million dollars as compensation for relocation, for the expansion of the ANR Robinson International Airport.

Numerous homeowners have been affected by the airport expansion project and must be relocated for the project to be successfully completed. This has led to clashes between the homeowners and the authorities as several homeowners believe they are being treated unfairly. Mr Jack is also Finance Secretary at the THA.

He told Power 102FM that negotiations are still ongoing with some land owners while others have already received payment

Mr Jack assured that the authorities are doing all that is possible to ensure the relocation project runs as smoothly as possible for the soon to be displaced homeowners.
