Andrews’s attorney who appeared on his behalf was able to secure a $3 million bail arrangement however, his co accused Ali was not as fortunate after the court was informed that a criminal tracing, through the use of fingerprints, revealed that Ali had two other aliases, namely Stephen Maharaj and Stephen Ram.

The men were held on July 9 aboard a pirogue in the Gulf of Paria, near the mouth of the Caroni River.

Fifteen crocus bags containing 355.40 kilograms of marijuana were allegedly found on board.

The matter has been adjourned to August 8.
