Trinidad and Tobago has recorded its 34th COVID 19 related death. The latest victim is said to be an elderly man with comorbidities.
The Ministry of Health in its 6pm update yesterday also confirmed an additional 16 new positive cases representing results from samples taken between August 28th and September 5th.
To date, 25,041 samples have been submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the UWI and other local sites for testing for COVID-19. Confirmed cases of the virus have risen to 2,250 with active cases now at 1,492.
