5.0 Earthquake rocks TrinidadCitizens in Trinidad and neighboring islands reported a tremor this morning.

An earthquake which measured a magnitude of 5.0 was felt in nearby cities of Port-of-Spain, the Borough of Arima and South of St. Georges, Grenada this morning.

The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre recorded the quake at a Depth of 33km, 62 km NW of Port of Spain, 81 km NW of Arima and 103 km S of St. George’s, Grenada at 10:33am local time.

A number of people across the country made mention of feeling the earthquake via several social media outlets, as far as central and south Trinidad.
