Local teachers want salary negotiations to be completed

The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association says more protest action is likely if Chief Personnel Officer Stephanie Lewis insists on playing hardball with them

TTUTA president Roustan Job says it’s been about a year since salary negotiations for teachers began and its time that it is settled

Ms Lewis is accused of trying to manipulate the process thus forcing teachers to accept Government’s 5 percent offer

Mr Job thinks its time for the CPO to get serious and complete the negotiations

The General Council is to meet this afternoon to discuss the matter
Mr Job maintains that 5 percent simply will not do
