Reports today that there are over 200 confirmed cases of the Zika virus in T&T.
Of this number, 60 have been diagnosed in women who are pregnant.
Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has said 59 ZIKA cases affecting pregnant women, have been recorded in Trinidad, and one in Tobago.
The Minister sought to allay fears, indicating that every possible measure is in place to ensure patients receive the necessary treatment. He said he has confidence in the specialist team assembled by the Ministry of Health to oversee the diagnosis and treatment of pregnant people.
