Police have shot and killed the man believed to have been responsible for the double murder reported yesterday in the Bourg Mulatress, Lower Santa Cruz area. The alleged killer, now deceased, has been identified as Collis Britto, alias “El Chapo”. He was shot at around 3am on Wednesday.

Power 102FM Digital understands that the man was confronted by police during an exercise that was being conducted in the La Canoa, Lower Santa Cruz, community. It was during that confrontation that he was shot. One newspaper report states that Britto was allegedly responsible for at least 10 murders in the Santa Cruz area, in the past two years.

His death comes just one day after mother and son, Marsha and Shawn Joseph, were shot and killed by a gunman at the corner of Saddle Road and Old Road Junction in lower Santa Cruz.
