The Police Service is reporting that ninety-six persons were charged for various offences during Carnival celebrations.

It says eighteen offenders were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, ninety-nine tickets issued for speeding; 10 firearms and 63 rounds of assorted ammunition seized and 438 vehicles wrecked for illegal parking and other violations.

The update was given by Gold Commander for Carnival 2018 and Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Deodath Dulalchan, Thursday.

He was speaking at the weekly police news briefing held at Police Administration Building in Port of Spain.
