A member of the Anglican clergy is calling for Carnival studies to be included in the school curriculum

Speaking during the service, which was held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Port-of-Spain, Canon Clarke noted that the country’s

Minister of Education has a plan to re-organise the education programme at the nation’s schools and wants to include Caribbean


He continued, saying “I want to suggest that you cannot teach Caribbean history without mas in the curriculum. Carnival studies must

be a part of the curriculum of every school.”

into the national school curriculum.
