A male suspect is now being questioned by officers of the Central Division and Homicide Bureau of Investigations, who are conducting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 13-year-old boy, who was reported missing by his family two days ago.

Police reports indicate that around 6pm on Monday, officers of Central Division who were actively engaged in the search for the teen since his disappearance, found his body about 200 metres, in some thick bushes, away from his home.

Upon the discovery of his body, his family was notified and the body removed.

On Saturday, December 1st, the victim’s mother and grandmother filed a missing person’s report at the Longdenville Police Post.

The report stated that 13-year-old Joash Pantin of Cashew Street, Carlsen Field went missing.

Following an immediate preliminary search by officers he was not found, however, officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service continued searching for the boy for two days.

A post mortem is expected to be conducted.
