Two additional COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded. The Ministry of Health in its clinical update this morning indicated that an elderly female with co-morbidities and an adult male have died from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 45 in Trinidad and Tobago.
Further, 79 more people have tested positive for the virus, representing results from samples taken between August 31 and September 10. The Ministry said of the 79 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, seven who were housed at the Police Training Academy.
These individuals have not been congregating among the masses in the national community and will be transferred to a public health facility for relevant medical care. The Ministry has assured that all established protocols have been implemented. There are six patients in ICU and give in HDU.
The 79 new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs.
