ACS concerned about Caribbean sea following claims of it being used as a dumping ground by ships

A senior official of the Association of the Caribbean States speaking on Power 102.1fm today voiced concern on protection of the Caribbean Sea amid claims that it is being used as a dumping ground by ships passing through the region.

The issue was being deliberate upon by ACS Secretary General, Dr June Soomer of St Lucia.

She was a guest on the Facing the Issues hosted by journalist Tony Fraser this afternoon.

The ACS official added that some of the other areas of focus for the organization related to trade, tourism, transportation, disaster risk reduction, culture and education.
