Acting Commissioner of Police clears the air on newspaper report

4-1A_stephen_williamsActing Commissioner of Police Stephen Williams has said that the 30 persons dismissed from entry into the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service were applicants and not recruits.

He made the statement while speaking on the Power Breakfast Show this morning.

However, Mr. Williams did admit that the applicants were dismissed due to failure of polygraph tests.

He noted that the polygraph test is done in the final stages to ensure that candidates meet the criteria for being a Police Officer.
