Amid a barrage of media reports of that several persons in East Port of Spain, were abused by members of the defence force; the acting Commissioner of Police has said he is unaware of any reports being filed at police stations.
Top cop Stephen Williams who was out of the country for the past few days; disclosed that he was contacted by a Journalist who told him of an encounter he had with the soldiers.
Commissioner Williams received some flak for saying he has no control over the activities of the Trinidad & Tobago Defence Force.
During an interview on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102.1 FM Mr. Williams said the police will investigate all report incidents.
The Acting Commissioner said anyone with information or reports can contact the 555 hotline.
He added it is against police policy to conceal their identity searches and other operations.
