The Acting Police Commissioner is expressing confidence with the various systems in the service to probe police killings. There have been 26 killings for the year thus far.
Police Complaints Authority Director, Gillian Lucky, at a news briefing on Wednesday, expressed concern about the probe into police killings being completed in a timely manner.
Ms. Lucky said she highlighted this concern during a meeting with Acting Police Commissioner, Stephen Williams this week.
Speaking with the media Mr. Williams said there different levels are in place to look at the circumstances and get the facts surrounding police killings.
The Acting Commissioner of Police also called on officers to carry out their in a professional manner.
