ACTING POLICE COMMISSIONER SAYS AN INVESTIGATION WILL BE LAUNCHED INTO CONTROVERSIAL FACEBOOK BEATING

stephen williams.jpg1Acting Commissioner of Police Stephen Williams says an investigation is needed to determine whether or not charges can be laid against a mother physically disciplining on a Social Network.

He made the statement while attending today’s Police Weekly Press Briefing at the Administrative Building in Port of Spain.
The Commissioner said the first issue to be determined is where the video originated.

Mr. Williams said an investigation will immediately be launched into the contents of the video to determine the next step.

When questioned on how the Police will differentiate between being disciplined and abuse, the Commissioner said the Police Service will seek guidance.
