Attorney General, Anand Ramlogan, underscores the power of the media during his contribution to debate on the private motion Election Campaign Financing this afternoon in the Senate.
He said there is the perception in the public that some media institutions demonstrate an imbalance in their coverage of news stories.
Mr Ramlogan made it clear there is nothing wrong with persons who were involved in the media getting into politics.
However, he said concerns and questions have been raised by some on whether the media establishment they were employed with had a political bias which impacted on certain aspects of operations.
