Attorney General, Anand Ramlogan.

Attorney General (AG), Anand Ramlogan, has advised Acting Commissioner of Police Stephen Williams to be careful when making statements which could result in the state facing several costly legal challenges.

AG Ramlogan was responding to statements made by Acting Commissioner Williams on the award of state contracts to gang members.

He said, these persons would be able to go to the Equal Opportunities Commission to file a complaint about the inequality of treatment by a high state functionary, namely the Commissioner of Police.

AG Ramlogan said if the police had information then they should arrest those persons who they know for a fact to have criminal dealings.
