In spite of several murders recently a possible return of the State of Emergency is not the government’s agenda at this time.

Attorney General, Anand Ramlogan, gave this assessment when questioned on the matter at the weekly post cabinet news briefing held at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s Thursday.

Over the Christmas weekend police reports showed there was a spike in murders….

Mr Ramlogan noted situation is cause for concern.

He admitted there is need for the Police Service to review its various crime fighting measures and maintain the pressure on criminal activities and elements.
