AG Says Police Must Bring Evidence When Arresting Suspects

Attorney General, Anand Ramlogan, on Thursday told reported that all must be done by the police service to ensure persons involved in gang related activities are brought to justice.

Speaking at the weekly post cabinet news briefing held at the Prime Minister’s St Clair Office, the AG  said the government will provide the police service with the resources and tools necessary to help officers in the execution of their duties.

He also expressed confidence in Acting Commissioner of Police, Stephen Williams.

However, Mr Ramlogan said it is the duty of the police service to ensure that criminals are held, and evidence brought before the court to convict such individuals.
