A Toco man was expected to appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate today, charged with the murder of David Callender, which occurred on January 14th.

30-year- old Tyron Marryshow, aka “Shaka”, a fisherman, of Cumana Village, Toco, was charged with murder following advice received from acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul, on Monday.

He was previously charged with possession of firearm and ammunition which is connected to the incident.

Marryshow, appeared before a Justice of the Peace on Monday, to answer to the charges and the matter postponed to today.

Mr. Callender, 38, also a fisherman, of Cumana Village, Toco, was a short distance away from his home when he got into an altercation with another man over an electrical part for a boat.

During the incident, the man pulled out a firearm and shot the victim multiple times about the body.

He died on the scene.
