faris An opposition Senator wants government to intensify its efforts to bring the Children’s Act as law

Faris al Rawi did so today in the Senate during his contribution to the Trafficking in Persons Bill 2010

Senator al Rawi explained that the children’s legislation was among others linked to any law that government could try to bring to combat human trafficking, and so should be placed as priority

He also wants Government’s legislative agenda published

Senator al Rawi was concerned about the country’s criminal justice system, which he maintained was ineffective

He felt that without radical changes things would just get worst
