Workers at Angostura Limited, who are members of the Seamen and Waterfront Workers Trade Union, continued a lunch-time protest today, and are vowing to continue until the company takes steps to remove its Human Resources Manager.
President General of the union, Michael Annisette, told us the question is the workers loss of faith in the conduct and the behaviour of the HR manager.
He says the relationship between the union and the company was poised to become seriously compromised; the longer the situation remains as it is.
This, he says, could have even more serious financial and economic consequences for the company, because the workers could be pushed to take more drastic action. The relationship between the workers and the HR manager is irretrievable, he says.
The protest will continue tomorrow.
