The report revealed several cases of misuse of public funds, misbehavior in public office and conspiracy to defraud the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago.
Sports Minister Anil Roberts said the halting of the programme takes food out of the mouth of poor people but promises to give them another programme.
The LifeSport programme was the brainchild of Mr. Roberts and was under his purview until it was transferred to the Ministry of National Security pending the audit.
During that time the Sports Minister said he will resign if it was revealed that the programme was funding criminals.
However, after the report was laid Mr. Roberts changed his tune saying there was no need for him to resign and he called for those involved in the downfall of the programme to be arrested.
