Barry Padarath Says Anti Gang Bill Was Ineffective in the Past

by | Dec 7, 2017

MP Barry Padarath

Princes Town MP Barry Padarath says that Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley and his Government rejected the Opposition’s support of the Anti-Gang Legislation over the issue of a two year sunset clause.

A sunset clause allows for legislation to be implemented only for a set period after which it expires.

Speaking on CNC3 this morning he revealed that the Opposition did not believe in recycling something that proved ineffective in the past.

He also commented on the decision by Government members to walk out of Parliament yesterday.
