There were reports on Wednesday of chaotic conditions at both the Port of Spain and San Fernando General Hospitals.
Patients have been complaining of an acute shortage of beds at the San Fernando General Hospital.
News Power Now was informed that the SFGH is filled to capacity and staff have been placing patients in hallways or wherever they can find room.
Patients are also said to have been left to wait without beds and without medical treatment.
Head of the Nurses Association, Idi Stewart said the conditions at the SFGH have been worsening for some time.
Mr Stewart said that things are not any better at the Port of Spain general Hospital.
Adding that patients also have to deal with difficult conditions at the health institution.
