Bird flu virus has caused the cost of eggs to rise by 7% or $1.25 per dozen

The bird flu virus has caused the cost of eggs to rise by 7% or $1.25 per dozen according to the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Table Egg producers

The Association of Trinidad and Tobago Table Egg Producers which supplies eggs to all supermarkets throughout the country has announced a seven per cent increase in its wholesale prices.

They have increased prices by $1.25 for every dozen.

The Association stated that the change was due to a continuous increase in the cost of production for packaging, medication, wages and other costs
