Former Vice Principal of the University of the West Indies, Professor Rhoda Reddock, says the on-going Black Lives Matter campaign taking place around the world should be used locally  to bring about serious reflection among citizens moving forward.

Speaking on the BLM Marathon on Power 102FM on Tuesday afternoon, Professor Reddock who is also a sociologist,  said the development can be used to assess the country’s history in a meaningful way.

She said it’s a chance to learn, read , reflect and analyse so that moving forward individuals can be focused.

Meanwhile, another guest on the programme Economist, Dr Auliana Poon,  said the issue should be used to help persons better appreaciate the benefits they enjoy in the region.

Dr. Poon also cited the need for a an agenda for positive change, to be incorporated.
