Protesting Trinidad and Tobago Blind Welfare Association Port- of- Spain workers say they will continue their action until all employees are paid their outstanding wages.

Since last week Thursday about 20 workers took the decision to remain at the Blind Welfare Association North Office, located at the corner of Duke and Edward streets in Port- of- Spain, to highlight their dissatisfaction.

On Thursday TTBWA, Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth Suratt, said the association received a cheque from the Ministry of the People and Social Development to cover wages, salaries and pensions for the month of August and the first fortnight in September.

Mr. Suratt said the employees were informed of the latest development.

But, speaking on Friday afternoon, Branch Secretary of the All Trinidad General Workers Union , Joseph “Lingo” Vautor  La Placeliere, said the affected workers will not leave the compound until they receive all the monies owed to them.
