Police are calling on the public to assist in identifying the bodies of three men who were killed in a vehicular accident around 1:30pm on Sunday. The bodies were fished out of the Woodland River after reports emerged that the vehicle was spotted as it submerged into the river along Rahamut Trace.

The vehicle, a black Peugeot car, was removed from the water by fire and police officers who responded to the report. An eyewitness to the incident said it appeared as though the driver lost control of the vehicle when it skidded on an oil puddle on the roadway. Officers said the name Sunil is tattooed on the body of one of the victims and all three men are estimated to be in their early 20s.

The bodies have been taken to the San Fernando General Hospital’s mortuary.
