Brewing Tropical Storm poses no Immediate Threat to Trinidad or Tobago

NEWS GRAPHIC 15Local weather experts say Tropical Storm Danny formed in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, is about 1,595 miles east of the Windward Islands.

Tropical Storm Danny is the fourth storm of the 2015 Atlantic hurricane season following on the heels of Ana, Bill and Claudette.

The storm currently has maximum sustained winds of about 40 miles per hour. There is no immediate threat to land and Danny is expected to track west toward the Caribbean over the next week.

Chief Meteorologist, Shakeer Baig, in a News Power Now interview this afternoon said on its present path the storm does not pose a threat to the region.

Mr. Baig said information coming from the National Hurricane Centre in Miami predicts a below average season this year.
