CAL’S long-haul service from Piarco to London’s Gatwick International Airport was plagued with disruptions disruption even before the initial launch in 2012.
The airline’s predecessor BWIA controversially sold its London Heathrow slots to British Airways in 2007.
The company’s plans to re-enter the UK market came as Virgin Atlantic’s flights from Kingston, Jamaica to Gatwick were due to end in Apr-2012.

The Minister also revealed a review is being done on all of the national airline’s other routes.
